6 reasons you need to start treating your allergies now: Part 2

It's going to be tough to have fun at a BBQ when suffering from spring allergies.

Spring is here, which means allergies are too. That's not good news if you like to spend time outdoors. In the first part of our two-part series, we explained that not managing your allergies prevents you from enjoying time with your kids outdoors, landscaping your property and taking a vacation. Now, we'll delve into a few more reasons you need to start treating your allergies now.

1. Begin your spring cleaning
Has your winter mainly consisted of shoveling snow? You probably didn't have a whole lot of time to clean your house. Now is the time to do it, but you're going to struggle if you suffer from seasonal allergies. Think about all of the pollen you'll likely breathe in as you move junk out of your home and into, say, a dumpster. Along with seasonal allergies, you'll also be working your way through dust storms as you sweep your home. This is a recipe for disaster if you don't start managing your allergies today.

2. Start exercising
If you're an outdoor person and love to exercise, it must have been difficult being cooped up inside all winter. You know what's even worse? Exercising outside with itchy, watery eyes. While sneezing and coughing likely gives your abs a good workout, you're probably looking for more of a full-body routine. The only way to make this happen is by managing your allergies.

3. Host BBQs
I'm not sure many people order hamburgers with fries and mucus, but that's exactly what you'll be giving them if you're sneezing and wheezing while cooking food for guests. Keep your BBQs allergy-free this spring by talking to an allergy specialist and taking the recommended medicines.
